In an enchantment of utter black
treaded one on an unseen track,
brandished he, his polished blade
to exact life’s unfair trade,
unheard went the passionate voices,
to keep him from bloodied choices.
In the shadows he hid himself
swiftly did he lose his self,
solemnly did he find his foes
exchanged with them those fierce blows,
with each one he brutally killed,
he forgot how he once lived.
Soul shattering strikes had rained
pierced was the last who remained,
in gentle sunshine now was seen,
who the perilous foe had been,
his face twisted to terror from bliss
for after all, the face was his.
