The Switch

Noted Nest

The Switch

The switch - it shall be here somewhere

A moment longer in this dome,

I shall not spare.

The switch - it would turn down this voice

These unanswerable questions,

This stupid noise.

I stumble as i move onto a person in red

He moves round about me,

A drop of color shed.

I shriek away, from this circle of fear

But this moment of mine causes,

Many more to appear.

This leads to dodging, pushing and falling

Now, the need of finding the switch,

Rings like a certain calling.

No matter the effort, i can’t seem to get free

The way out of this circle of chaos,

There seems nothing to be.

In vain had gone all my tricks and games,

As inside this dome, i forever

Seem to remain.

But lits a light, similar to the one of a chance

As this disastrous circle of theirs,

Turns into a dance.

Round and round they twirl on the stage

Dancing slightly on their feet,

Like the smile on my face.

I sit down here, with my knees in hands

This rhythm seems to match the

Rhythm of my mind.

And slowly the circle brakes apart

And then reveals the switch

In the dance’s heart.

The symbol of mobile shining from the switch.

The distraction i’ve been searching for

Now finally here amidst.

I walk up to it, and the dancers walk away,

This glow seemed less alluring

Than their happy rays.

These dancers, these colors - my emotions

The one I was trying to sail away from

In my mind’s oceans.

But now as I’m standing here, i don’t anymore

Want to run away from them,

Or their weird lure.

And so I leave the switch behind and join in,

With these unique emotions of mine,

Into this dance I spin.
