The Rose Does Sleep

Updated: Oct 2, 2024

By Kasturi Sinha

In the chilling evening, the rose does sleep

Its secrets are hidden, and mysteries keep

With petals soft, like velvet's touch

It speaks of secrets, oh so much

Dreams unfold in the night’s grace

In a soft lullaby fragrance, embrace

It wears its beauty, veiled with grace

Do not try to pluck, let not greed chase

Deep within its crimson heart

Lays a story, a work of art

A mystery blooms in the petals' fold

In every hue, a tale is told

Oh, rose so fair, in beauty's thrall

You hold the crown above all
