A thin layer of gold,
Blinds the innocent soul
It appeared a bright star
At least it did from afar
But truly a cloud, dark and cold
One darker than pure coal
Its shine hid it's darkness
And also hid others brightness.
People never saw it's true color,
They never wanted to,
Even if they saw the dark side,
The light couldn't afford to hide
But one day I hope,
People have eyes big enough
To see the inner darkness
At least, not fear to look past it's brightness.
