I kept writing to you with ink filled with pain And the more I wrote, the more I eased my strain Gathering all the memories of you in my mind With each stroke of the pen, I left them behind. I thought I might shatter, lost in your embrace But hoped to break free and find a new place To forget those moments we shared, just us two And in this new life, let my spirit renew. With this hope in my heart, I nurtured my dreams As I penned down my sorrows in flowing streams There were moments on this journey so tough When my heart whispered softly, "I've had enough." But I wouldn't let my weary hands cease For I'd vowed to find solace, to seek out my peace So I journeyed through life, collecting new days While writing to you in those sorrowful ways. The memories began to fade from my soul Those painful moments we shared took their toll Even echoes of love started to blur in the haze As I found myself smiling with life's gentle rays. The shadows of sorrow began to retreat As I welcomed the joy that life now could meet Like boats of springtime, drifting ashore I wrote to you still, but felt pain no more. I kept writing to you with ink filled with strife And slowly but surely embraced a new life.
