Spiritual Psychology - Intraconnect your Physical, Mental & Spritual well-being

By Nomitha Baanu T

We are not just human beings experiencing spiritual life. We are spiritual beings experiencing human life. There is more to our life's mission than we may realize in this lifetime, but it is achievable. Being born as a human is undoubtedly a wonderful blessing and amazing gift. Are we making the most of our gift? We must be joyful and thankful to God for giving everyone of us such a wonderful gift. The universe as a whole expends a great deal of energy and effort to develop our life. We all have a responsibility to give back to the source by making the most of this valuable existence. Integrate spirituality into your everyday life to make it a priority.

Purpose of life:

Let’s dive deep into ourselves and search for the purpose of our lives. Seek the eternal truth from the divine power and transform ourselves completely. This happens gradually, day by day, through mediation. Believe in yourself and the world at large. Give enough time to know your inner self. Be patient, be mindful, and be grateful. Spread positivity and love to the universe. We are all not just receiving energy but also transmitting it to the world. So let’s transmit positive energy to transform the world through our blessings.

Essence of life:

Pure love is the essence of life. Think of a person who showers you with pure love unconditionally. Make note of the sensation or feeling in your heart. Try the same with the person you don’t like personally. If our emotions are different, we are going to be juggled in the hands of others for our happiness and well-being. We are totally responsible for all the happenings in our lives. Irrespective of the person, we need to generate pure love to stay happy always. It might be difficult initially, but it is possible with compassion and wisdom.

Spiritual Psychology:

Our outer world is just the reflection of our inner world. Spirituality and psychology are interrelated and interconnected with the lives of each of us in all stages of life. There is a myth that only the elderly should spend their time in spirituality. It is not so. From a young age, one should be involved in spirituality with a lot of energy and vigor so that he or she will be able to make progress easily in the later part of life. Thanks to the spiritual masters who have brought us out of ignorance. Get to know yourself through psychology and get rid of all your worries and anxieties. Let’s embrace our inner child and explore it to the fullest.

The three bodies:

The Gross or Physical body is made up of 5 elements : Space, Air, Fire, Water and Earth. The subtle body consists of Consciousness, Mind, Intellect and Ego. The Spiritual or causal body is the Soul (atma) situated in the heart. The size of the soul is one by ten thousand of the tip of the hair making it the subtlest one. The soul is eternal full of knowledge and consciousness and hence referred as SATCHITANAND (Sat- Eternal, Chit – Consciounesss, Anand – Bliss)

The five sheaths/koshas:

There are 5 main sheaths located within the 3 bodies, which helps to intraconnect them.

  1. Annamaya kosha

  2. Pranamaya Kosha

  3. Manomaya Kosha

  4. Vignanamaya kosha

  5. Anandamaya Kosha

  1. Annamaya Kosha:

It is the outer sheath, referred to as the physical sheath or the food sheath. The well-being of this sheath depends on the type of food taken by individuals after birth and the diet of their mother during the gestation period.

  1. Pranamaya Kosha:

It is called an energy sheath as there is flow of life energy, or Prana, to various body parts through subtle channels called Nadis. These Nadis cross each other at specific points along the spine, forming the 7 chakras of the subtle body.

  1. Manomaya Kosha:

It is the mental sheath in which the mind creates thoughts, emotions, perceptions, memories, and egos with the help of five senses.

  1. Vignanamaya kosha:

It is called the knowledge sheath or wisdom sheath, which distinguishes what is right and wrong with the help of intelligence and intuition.

  1. Anandamaya Kosha

It is the subtlest sheath surrounding the soul with eternal bliss, joy, and perfect harmony and hence referred to as the bliss sheath.

Intraconnection:

Many of the problems in our lives are due to the lack of the body, mind, and soul connection. Before our physical gross body (sthoola sharir) is affected by any disease or disorder, there is disruption in our subtle body (shookshma sharir). So, therefore, it is very important to take care of our subtle body and casual body in order to stay healthy even at the physical level. Let’s intraconnect our physical, mental, and spiritual well-being to unleash our inner potential and welcome the best version of ourselves.

Conclusion:

A distinct and vital area of psychology that highlights the significance of the spiritual aspect of human existence is spiritual psychology. It offers a route to profound, life-changing healing and personal development by fusing conventional psychological techniques with spiritual ideas. Spiritual psychology provides a powerful reminder of the strength of transcendence, self-awareness, and connection in a society where many people struggle with stress, anxiety, and existential ambiguity. In the end, spiritual psychology aims to help people reach their full potential and embrace life with clarity, serenity, and purpose in addition to easing suffering.
