Ripples

Noted Nest

Ripples

I am full of thunder clouds,

trembling and shaking,

gasping in need of poisonous oxygen.

Why? Please tell me why?

I loved you so much.

I would still die over and over again for you.

Have you known the intimacy

of a rose landing upon a placid lake?

It gets so flustered;

it understands love.

It's two ways now.

The rose remains there,

Moving forth with the soft ripples.

Or there is biting wind;

It carries the rose away.

The water splashes;

It tries to pull it back.

You know the truth,

Don't you?

Water failed.
