I can see a cloud
Oh and the sky, it speaks so loud.
Complicated, but I can hear its roar
and see the sun that shines.
I think it's lonely and hiding behind
But once it came down
Pouring drops of heaven
I looked up to the sky.
The sky was blue and
The sky was in different shades of gray.
I turned around and saw
That I was wet and pale.
My tiny little hair
It curled so beautifully by my neck
This I saw in a puddle
Holding a reflection of how I lay by the wind.
My hair is wet. My eyes are dry
But every symphony of nature I hear
Calls to me that and says
I need not be sad, I need not be gentle.
She told me to dance
Like the swaying branches of a tree
She told me to fall like a leaf
And be lifted by the wind.
She told me to fly like a bird
She told me to cry like a baby.
She told me to be wild
And I can hear her song.
All this while I was so down
I had no courage or smile
But once I heard the raindrops
I could not stop but think-
Why is this world so ugly?
But why is it much more beautiful!
