When she wanted to be held
She ran in a forest
With blurry vision
Without looking back
When she wanted someone to caress her feet
Thorns penetrated them
Stones cut them
They wept blood from them
When she wanted to hug
She just held a wide tree
Whose bark also died years ago
Of being untouched, undiscovered in the deep forest where sane people fear to go
When she wanted to hold someone’s hand
She plucked grass from the ground
She scratched her own hands and the dead remain of her soft lively skin lived in a
corner of her nails
She crushed her wild hands between her teeth and tried to tame them
When she wanted a hand on her head and a kiss on her forehead
She banged her head on the dead bark
She pulled her hair ruthlessly to control her desire just like the rider pulls the bridle to
control the horse
The dense fog above her made her hairs dewy, sucked all the warmth that was left in
her
When she wanted a hand to wipe her tears
She felt hard, dead bark against them scratching her wet skin
The forest didn’t comfort her but it surrounded her gave her a place to hide
It became her home where she would hide and let the forest consume the life form her
