In the graveyard of our love, where echoes mourn,
Lies the corpse of what we had, forlorn.
Ghosts of laughter linger, haunting the past,
A requiem for a love too beautiful to last.
Once, vibrant blooms adorned our sacred ground,
But now, wilted petals in silence are found.
The symphony of our hearts, once harmonized,
Now shattered notes, in despair, disguised.
The tombstones of promises stand tall,
Yet, the epitaphs crumble, a bitter recall.
Echoes of "forever" now a distant knell,
A requiem played on a desolate farewell.
Moonlit memories cast a pale glow,
I trace the outlines of what used to grow.
A love story entwined in cobwebs of regret,
A narrative of joy that we chose to forget.
Amidst the ruins, emotions lie in state,
The residue of love, the hands of fate.
The corpse of our affection, a poignant scene,
A requiem for love, where shadows convene.
