Misha tries to move her head and slowly opens her eyes. Her vision is hazy. She
can see a pinkish sky, which gets her confused as she thinks that is her room’s
ceiling. There are long, scattered clouds a shade lighter than the soft pink sky.
“Am I in a dream again?” Misha thinks to herself.
To confirm she is not in a state of sleep paralysis, she slowly moves her fingers.
That is when Misha feels grass blades in between her fingers. She also feels
grass under her legs, back, and arms. Misha gets up swiftly and starts to panic.
Her heavy breathing makes some of her hair covering her face slip into her
mouth. She then looks down, only to see herself completely naked.
“This is a dream, Misha,” she tries to convince herself.
Misha stands up, and naturally, she covers herself with her hands. She waddles,
as she sees the endless and lonely land of yellow grass which connects to the
dim pink sky at the horizon. Suddenly, Misha feels a sense of adrenaline rush.
She slowly turns her back, and her eyes widen as they capture the image of an
enormous, glowing white human-like figure.
Misha is slowly getting anxious. She tries to fathom that surreal being. The
figure, in the distance, seems to have an empty face. Its head is tilted down
while sitting cross-legged, and the right hand over its right knee, where she can
see its fingers pointing to the ground beneath.
“Misha, oh my God, you are dreaming...!” she whispers to herself.
Misha then decides to wake herself up. She does not like this ‘dream’ one bit.
She starts walking around, taking small steps, still covering herself. Soon, her
anxiety starts to peak. She brings her fingers up to push her hair back as she
scans the land around her.
“Wake up, Misha,” she says.
“Misha, wake up, please!”
“Misha,”
“Misha!”
“MISHA WAKE UP!”
Misha starts to run. She runs away from the odd behemoth.
As she is running, slowly escalating speed, Misha realizes something. She is not
feeling tired. She feels as if she is gliding above the ground. This makes her even
more confused and scared. She switches her gaze from her feet to the figure
behind her. She is involuntarily staring at that being. Her heavy breathing
stops. Misha rubs her face vigorously and pats her cheeks repeatedly.
She takes a huge breath and shouts as loud as she can at that thing,
“WHO ARE YOU?!” and again,
“WHAT DO YOU WANT??!”
She is still looking at that figure, in silence, but the silence fades away as she can
hear her heart pounding.
Misha is starting to get restless. She screams a few more times. She also tries to
run away again, this time in different directions. Misha then falls to the
ground, face first. She can feel tears welling up behind her closed eyelids. She
can also feel the grass poking her breasts, which makes her turn over. As tears
start rolling down the side of her face, she wipes them off and places her hands
on her chest. Then, Misha starts breathing in a pattern in an attempt to calm
herself. A while passes. She is no longer worried about being naked or lost. She
feels all her emotions vanish except for a never-ending feeling of euphoria.
“Maybe this is not a dream,” she utters, “Everything feels so real...”
Misha finds herself staring at the sky again, but this time, the pink sky seems to
be moving in a distorted manner. Even though her naked back presses against
the grass, she feels like she is floating, swaying left to right. Misha's eyes close
again.
“Should I let go?”
Misha now thinks about who she is. All the times she has questioned herself.
Her existence. About all life around her. Trying to comprehend the ultimate
purpose of everything. Misha has always pondered not about extraterrestrial
beings, but about the one beyond it all.The one who is the reason for the
beginning and the end. She connects all those thoughts with her current
situation. The poignant memories she has stuffed in her head all her life slowly
disappear.
“Is this it?” she wonders.
All these racing thoughts give Misha goosebumps.
“Just let go...”
Misha gets on all fours as she locks her sight on the odd yellow grass below her.
She gets up, now on her knees. Instead of trying to understand everything that
is going on around her, she decides to accept and feel it.
“I'm letting go.”
Misha closes her eyes and waits for something to happen. She feels her elation
heighten.
“This is it,” she says,
“My time has come...”
She is unknowingly smiling accompanied by tears rolling down her cheeks.
Both her arms start to lift. She can even feel wisps of breeze caressing her face
and body. Misha starts to feel overwhelmed and anticipates something
extraordinary to happen.
All her senses start to ascend. Misha opens her eyes and gets up on her feet. She
sees the glowing figure and smiles. She curls her toes with the grass and starts
walking towards the thing. Misha slowly picks up pace. Now, she is running
faster than ever. She seems to be getting closer to the being. She begins to hear
white noise which slowly rises.
Misha is hit by immense ecstasy as she finally reaches the body. That figure’s
entire body is glowing with streaks of light moving around repeatedly. Misha's
eyes are wide open with her pupils dilating even though she is being hit by that
extremely bright light. Even the immensely loud white noise does nothing to
her. She can no longer feel herself. Her heart is no longer beating. Her naked
body shines in front of that glowing figure. Misha looks up at that one finger
extending from the figure.
“I'm here,” she smiles,
“I'm finally here!”
She slowly lifts her left arm and folds all her fingers except one. She touches the
giant glowing finger. Immediately after that, she is engulfed by a bright light,
which vanishes right after together with everything else.
I seek forgiveness, for one last time
My heart is now clear of grime
This is it, I know
As I witness, my eyes glow
Taking me higher, you are
Past every star
Beyond far
Keep me locked in this reverie
Keep me roaming in this endless journey
I like this feeling
I shall cherish it with all my being
Because you are my Sleepwalker
I find you before it gets any darker
I want to be inside you
I want to be all over you
I just want you
I have let go
Together we grow
This is all I know
